Composite blade concept pics!!

Hey guys,
I know I might be getting a bit old for video games, but I still love shooters and play valve's Day of Defeat and Counterstrike pretty regularly. Anyway, tonight I was playing a bit of Counterstrike and switched from my gun to my knife to try and shank somebody:D, and all of a sudden I realized where Thomas and the gang at Kershaw got the idea for the composite blades!!!:eek: Thomas, do you guys have to pay royalties to Valve??? :)

Thought you guys would get a kick out of this,

that is a Strider custom he made awhile back. IIRC titanium blade and steel edge. I will look for a pic, just saw one somewhere.
 
BTW, was that the knife in the original CS or after Valve helped it along a bit? Because we all know Gabe Newell is a big knife guy.

Yeah that's the way it looked in the original CS as well. I've played that game since the first beta was released and I'm pretty sure the blade always had that look.
 
As much time as I spent watching my son play, and he does own at CSS, I can't
believe I didn't pick up on that.

JM, Since you like CSS I thought you might enjoy watching this video me and

Your son's pretty good! But I did noticed that whenever his health gets really low, the video switches to another session!!;) Seriously though, he's got some good reflexes. I'm good at that game and usually end up near the top when a map ends, but the kids these days who have grown up on computers are just so damn fast it blows my mind. How old is your son?

CS is a game that has truly stood the test of time. I still think it's just as exciting as the first time I played it.

Yeah, We both just thought it would make for a better video. He really is a
bad @$$ at CSS. My itty bitty son is 18. :( They grow up so fast.
You spend half your life getting them into and out of school only to
realize you want them 6 again and do it all over again.

It is cool though, to watch your boy turn into a man. :)
