Hey all,

I thought I'd share this one with you guys. It's a largish seax with a 14" blade, and the geometry is very similar to the Japanese style clamshell geometry. Big and VERY robust. The spine is a two bar 1080/15n20 twist, and the edge is 52100. The handle is mastodon bone, cocobolo, leather and copper.

I like the idea of a two bar twist...but how do you get the different edge? Do you wrap the twist pair around the edge of the 52100 and forge that into one piece? Just a newbie gleaming as much information from the masters as he can.

Stunning, I had to look up what a Seax was. Your web site was equally impressive. Steven

One of the nicest knives I have seen of this style. I really like the blade. Beautifully done. Is there a scabbard that goes with it?

Thanks!

There is, but I don't have any good photos of it. It's similar to this one, but with knotwork instead.:

Jesse,

Mike Blue had it right when he gave you high praise. That's a killer seax. Must be a heck of a user too, that handle looks very comfortable for things like chopping, letter opening, etc.

I gotta ask how much that thing is.

Larry

Thanks!

Don't listen to what Mike said... it's lies, all lies!:D

This one is spoken for, but you can email or PM me and I'll let you in on some of the pricing info:)
