Not sure why this came to me now, but any thoughts at kershaw about composite handles? Obviously it would have some to do with aesthetics, but I was wondering if a frame lock handle slab could have titanium on the lock bar half, and G10 on the other. Not sure what the bonding material would be. Anyway, maybe its not possible, but I thought it might also be aesthetically pleasing in unison with a composite blade. Also, you would have the strength of the titanium in the lock while the grip of g10 without having an onlay thicken the handle?

No, that's not what I'm thinking and I already know it hasn't been done. That's a titanium bolster/frame with a g10 scale. Not the same as what I'm talking about. I'd probably have to draw it out to explain.... which won't be happening too soon ;)

I can imagine a couple of different ways to do that, but I wonder if you'd want the pieces shaped in such a way that when they are mated you'd have resistance in at least one direction that's not totally dependent on a bonding agent. Could get into some intensive machining and very exacting fit.
