Compound bow...

A buddy gave me this bow free of charge and I know nothing about compound bows. Any information would be awesome.. Is it a good brand(PSE)? Looks to be a couple years old..

PSE is usually thought to be a good entry level bow. Not the fastest, quietest. or smoothest, but they work. I don't know which model that is, but they have come out with a few bows in recent years, that were very respectable.

If you are planning on shooting it, take it to your local archery shop and have them check it over for you. Mainly, make sure there are no cracks in the limbs, and that the string and cable are in good condition.
They should be able to help set it up for you too. Making sure you have the correct draw length to fit you, and that the bow is tuned, will make things a lot easier for you starting out.

Old stick bow shooter teaching my youngest grandson how to shoot a youth compound..he does pretty good. They may have something with compound bows.
