Okay, somebody pushed the idiot button on my back and I buffed this coral handle just to see what it would look like...
Well, (yay for the dummy) it looks like coral with buffing compound stuck in the pores. I realize I should have sealed it with super-glue or something before I even got too high in grit on paper.
I would like some advice on how to get the compound out (just white rouge), and the best way to finish this stuff. It's apple coral, and this is the first time I've used coral.
