Comprehensive list of shields for traditional folders?

Where can I find a comprehensive list of shields/escutcheons used on traditional folders along with their proper and common names? Thanks.

Luciano, I tried to get this same list about a year ago with no luck.

It would be great if someone could compile a list complete with pictures for reference.

The last time this subject came up someone mentioned a book with many shields listed, can't remember the name though.

The "The Official Price Guide To Collector Knives" and "Levine's Guide" have sections devoted to shields but they are nowhere near exhaustive.

Most traditional knife reference and guide books have at least some info beyond the images and illustrations.

There have been a couple threads on this over the last few years...but I think they fizzled out. Would be a cool sticky thread, but limited to pictures and not discussion.

That is an excellent idea Campbell! Basically posts in a thread with a photo/picture of the shield with its name should cover it.

"Price Guide to Romance of Knife Collecting" (1978 and 1979 Editions) - Mrs. Dewey P. (Lavona) Ferguson. 15-20 pages in the back of these books of nothing but shields.
