How about it. I know there are some out there in members hands. How about a good review. I'm particularly interested in how the lock-up is and how the stell compares to todays super alloys. How does it compare to a Sebenza.

This isn't a comprehensive review, but I'll give my impressions.

I've had three go through my hands now and all have been similar. Fit and finish are superb. Lockup is excellent with no play in any direction. The blade opens surprisingly smooth for a knife with great lockup. The titanium slabs are thinner than the sebenza. They aren't too thin mind you but in comparison they are thinner than the sebenza.

Ergonomics are strictly subjective, but this knife feels great to me. The blade lines up in relation to the handles in such a way that using the knife is comfortable and instinctive. By instinctive I mean that you know where the point is without looking.

Overall I think it is an excellent design with very good execution.

Personally I think that 440C will be okay. I believe it to be an under rated steel. I do not like blade coatings. I prefer a satin or stonewashed finish myself. If I have to have a coated blade I would prefer D2. That is just my $0.02.

I am not disagreeing with the choice of 440C, but I believe the choice will have a negative impact on sales. There are a lot of steel snobs out there and for the $$$ knives with "better" steels can be had. I believe 440C will be good for the average Joe and most people probably wouldn't notice a difference unless they really use and abuse a knife. I am not saying they wont sell well, I just believe they would sell better if they had been made as originally stated.

All that being said, I believe one will be in my daily rotation.
