Hey everyone, I've got a quick question about the workings of the compression lock before I murder my meager knife savings and pick up a Para 2
I'm curious about how the compression lock works; I've seen photos, read the patent, and looked at other threads, but the bit of info I couldn't find is this: When the knife locks open, the lock tab wedges between the blade tang (which is ramped, I'm assuming, like a liner lock) and...what? If it's the stop pin, it seems like the lock tab would have to either a) be in constant contact with the stop pin or b) the stop pin must be ramped like the tang, or c) the tab doesn't normally contact anything, relying on the stiffness of the liner, but if forced, it would wedge against the stop pin. This question is just to satisfy my own curiosity, I'll probably pick one up anyway.
Oh, and how thick is the tip? Endura FFG style, Griptilian style, Leek style? Just curious, I don't pry with my knives, and I know the tip has a proven track record.
