Compression locks other than PM2?

Tried doing some research into this and haven't found much ... are there other knives (specifically Spydercos) that use the compression lock other than the PM2? My understanding is that Spyderco likes to experiment with different lock types but I haven't seen any other compression locks on the market, which is weird because it seems to be a super popular lock type (I know I love my all-black PM2). if there aren't any other compression lock Spydercos out there, what do you think the chances are that we see some new ones in the future?
 
There are several models that use the Compression Lock, discontinued and current. Some noted are the Superhawk, Yojimbo 2, Junior, Szabo; I'm sure there are much more, but those are the ones I recall off the top of my head.

I had a SALSA.. HATED the compression lock.. Finger/hand pincher.. Got a PM2 and really am liking the lock.. Size and hand purchase makes the difference.. JMO!! John:thumbup:
 
thanks for sharing, guys ... I pretty much hadn't heard of any of those before. funky names and definitely some intriguing blade shapes. it seems like, other than the Paramilitary line, all of the compression locks were used on balls-to-the-wall knives. any chance that it shows up in something more mainstream/functional looking?

There have been rumblings of a sage series compression lock, mainly over on spyderco's forums. But most of the indications were that a model with that lock wouldn't appear until 2017ish at least, from what I remember.

Can't say I'd call it the compression lock a "super popular lock type". Aside from the ParaMilitary, none of the models Spyderco has offered with the compression lock have fared particularly well in the marketplace.
 
Love compression locks.
Nothing like Spyderdropping a smooth Yojimbo 2.

...also have a Salsa, but never once have I pinched my hand with it...?

Would love to see a Sage or other mid/small size folder with a Compression lock. I know Sage has the build dimensions to get all the different lock variations, but imagine how cool a Native would be with one!
