Computer experts: connection problems

I have DSL connection. Every time I leave my pc and comeback to it, I need to disconnect the modem from the electricity wait a while , connect it again then I can connect to the internet.

Do you know why? is there a solution?
The modem is not old a 3 month old linksys.

Sounds like you have a bad DSL modem. CAll your ISP (internet service provider). Tell them your modem is reseting. Your issue is probably related to a bad power supply.
