I just got a Blue Eyeball for Christmas.

Would like a webcam software that:

1. Can capture still photos and video.

2. Has an easy to use interface(mousing buttons for "record", "play", "stop", "send file to", easy to choose paths for video/photos

3. Is free, or worth the money, once I do demo

Software rejected thus far are: Camtasia Studio 6.0.3,
MSN Webcam Recorder 26.0, Willing Webcam 4.9

Thanks and Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Okay, now do you have a PC or a Mac? My experience with the eyeball's extends as far as Mac's.

When you say software rejected so far, has it been incompatible, does your computer not meet the specifications, or have you decided against them personally?

It is an XP Pro(Service Pack 3) PC and I decided against them because they were not easy enough to operate.

Well, I've found that it's pretty tough to beat the ease of use of Windows Movie Maker and so far as I'm aware, it's included with Windows. I know my desktop is running XP Pro 64-bit and it has WMM.

For seperate software, I've heard good things about PowerDirector 8. There are two versions, Deluxe and Ultra. Based on what you've said, I get the feeling the Deluxe would be more than enough.

Here's a link: http://www.hermanstreet.com/store/s...?&ICID=AB-PowerDirector Deluxe 2009-12-11 t12

Right you are and it does exactly what I needed, so thanks!!!

Now, I also have a DVD burner that will not play DVD's, Windows says I need a player, any recommendations?

Lol, you have a DVD burner that doesn't play DVD's? I didn't even know that existed.

Get VLC. If I remember correctly, it's available for PC as well. I use it on my Macbook and it's one of the best DVD players I've ever come across. Free too.

The burner RECORDS dvd's like a champ, playing prior to your most excellent help, not so much!

Thank you, and Best Regards,

No problem. Glad I could access my generally useless repository of information to help someone. :]
