I'm back, finally. It's going to take me a while to catch up, not to mention installing software, setting things up, attempting to recover data from the old hard drive ... but I'm back! And it wasn't a repair -- it was an upgrade!
The hard drive lost smoke, that motherboard had been giving me trouble for a long time, the operating system was antiquated, and while we were at it we figured we might as well upgrade some other stuff too ... now it's as good as new.
So, did the whole internet fall into chaos while I was gone? I'm not worried about Bladeforums; I'm sure the moderators here could handle anything that could come up -- it's the rest of the net I'm worried about.

No hurt feelings intended, but in fact it was exactly opposite.
Everything on the Internet was unusually quite and peaceful while you were gone.
