Can anyone help me I work a lot of hours and until last
night I always had blade forums to get me through.
But last night I get on my computer only to find out
that my company has blocked BF?? not sure why
but I know that they from time to time check to see
where to much time is being spent:grumpy: :grumpy: and I have
put some others there onto BF. Anyway I was wondering
if anyone knows a back door in?? a way that I could at
least mayby read some posts.. something please:( :(

If they blocked it based on content you may be able to access BFC by typing in the domain IP address provided they didn't block that as well. I don't have it offhand but I'm sure someone will chime in. And just let you know......you shouldn't be browsing BFC when you should be working. :p

I say that we don't help him and let him sweat it out. After a few hours without BFC I'm sure we can get pretty much anything out of him. :p ;) :D

I'm willing to bet that you can go in through a proxy. I did this when I was in China to get into hotmail/MSN.

A less annoying one is Babel Fish: http://world.altavista.com/
Enter the bladeforums web address in "Translate a Web Page," and pick any language-to-English. I usually use Chinese because it's the least likely to pick up random words and translate them.

There's some others out there specifically designed for defeating page blockers, but I'm personally paranoid about being that overt in spiting the rules.

Go to http://www.anonymizer.com/ and enter the Bladeforums addy into the little anonymizer window.

Your Sys Admin will be able to see that you went to this site but shouldn't be able to tell where you surfed to after.YMMV though,wiser heads in here may be able to explain more clearly.
 
Play this one carefully - using a site they don't like is one thing.

However if they block the domain name out, and you use the IP address to access it, they can constitute that as hacking....

So far nothing has worked:( Its not a big deal
but the long hours with no BF posts makes for
one long night:grumpy:

I can sympathize. They started blocking BFC at my job earlier this year. They use a list based system and BFC has been classified as "chat," which isn't specifically banned, but what can you do? It's not like I can give them a business reason why I need it unblocked.

What's even worse, in its own way, is that the software allows me to access the home page and even the FAQ's and knowledge bases. Just not the forums or the archives (even through sites like Babelfish).
 
Well nothing has worked I think they have beaten me...for now:p
I still have faith that one of my BF people will get me in I hope:yawn:
