I'm starting to get into fixed blade knives, and am looking for something small and comfortable to wear every day. I'm of small stature 5'7", so nothing too big. I was looking at the Mission MPU, Camillus Talon, and the Crawford tanto neck knife. I also don't want to spend over $200.00... What do yall think?

There are any number of "neck knives" out there that make super general-use knives. I have a few that I carry IWB or inverted in a coat pocket, etc.. Crawford makes a couple of really nice knives in that size, as do Dozier, Polkowski, Running Dog, REKAT, Allen Blade, Lynn Griffith, Neil Blackwood (Dr. Lathe), & the list goes on- I would suggest checking the sites of some of the makers who are members here & also checking the "for sale" forums.

I got a Boker Bud Nealy with multiple position sheath and I love it. Plus I only Paid $55.00 on ebay for it. The only thing I don't like on it is the paddle feature, I find it to be to thin to hold it tightly. But the neck and belt carry is great. I forget that I have it on sometimes.

Make a blood brother. Keep it sharp.

I highly rek'mnd the UJI by Livesay. Tough, slim, sharp (with work) and damn comfortable. You will even forget you are wearing it! I rek'mnd IWB carry. The sheath is AWESOME!!!

Timberline Aviator, Small Benchmade Nimravius, Emerson Police, SOG pentagon are my picks.

Spyderco Moran, Best bang for your buck and well suited to your needs, it also has a multi-carry option sheath.

Newt Livesey Woo is the best neck knife going with a excellent price. Check out the review of them by Chad on the reviews forum. For your money you just can't get a better fixed blade than Newt's. Otherwise a Busse or Randall fixed blade would work rather good for you.

I wear my Woo under the BDU top but over my body armor, works like a charm.

How long you been out there playing with the purfumed princes??? I've got a few friends who were stationed there.

I really like Crawford knives I don't have the Tanto Knife But I do have his Kasper Neck Knife. I don't think you can go wrong ordering something from him.

I second the Woo by Livesay. It is a good one, especially for the bux. For a utility blade the LP is a little more useful, Both in the $25-$50 range

The Talon would work great for you. The size with the sheath works great for a every day carry. You would not be disapointed with it at all.

Any of the Bud Nealy models come with a nine position carry sheath offer concealed carry in many different positions. I really like his new Y2K model with a double flat/hollow grind. They are a little more than $200, but well worth the extra cost.

Check out Bud Nealy knives at knife art

I'll post direct contact info tonight when I get home and can find his card.

What about the CS Desperado? You can get it for like $65 at most stores. It is reasonably comfortable for me, but I am 6'.
