Hey guys was wondering what your experiences were with IWB carry sheaths for concealed carry? I recently acquired a few, Cultie, AD, GW, meaner, and need some sheaths. I want to edc these babies, but dont know of leather or kydex is better and what config or which one of the many makers you should recommend? Thanks in advance!

Ive tried to carry kydex IWB on a few occasions but never really cared for the IWB belt loop set-up. I did acquire some spyderco G clips recently and set up a BA-e sheath for IWB using one. Worked very well and plan to use this carry method for myself on future set-ups.

I will have to recommend Rainwalker for such a need. I worked with Jeff to come up with the following implementation...and he executed on them flawlessly. The following show SYKCO blades, but if he has the knife then he can employ the concept onto any of the smaller Busse (and kin).

I wanted leather, because I like the way it rides against the skin. Additionally, I wanted a way to add Comp-Tac Clips to the sheath to allow for shirt tuck in (I wear business clothing, so during the week I am 100% tucked).

I EDC the SS4 the most, but the Scrapivore gets the call often.

Don't mind the gut, and painting clothes :D This first pic shows how the knife sits IWB and the clip connects to the belt.

This second pic shows how the shirt can be tucked between the sheath and the Comp-Tac clip. Works VERY well. The clips can take approximately 1 Million flexes...if I recall correctly. They are available through Comp-Tac...or you can just ask Jeff to supply them when you place an order through him.

Just for transparency...I also have a few kydex sheaths for the SS4 with different IWB setups. They also work, and you can add the Comp-Tac clips to any kydex sheath (with appropriate spacing) as well. However, it's personal preference, and I prefer leather for an "all day" carry.

those rainwalkers look SWEET dude. And Im diggin those clips, thanks for pointing out where to find them.

That G clip is comfortable, and besides riding a little high, the BA-e is awesome for IWB

Damn, I'm digging those Rainwalkers

I might have to hit Jeff up about one of those.

Thank you for the info izmash! This is exactly what I've been looking for! Discreet and looks comfy! I have been carrying folders in my pockets for years, but I want to carry my culti, meaner, etc concealed without a huge sheath sticking out the side so I can use for EDC, as I'm usually running around the city and with many sheeplike around, it's my only option, only way to be close to my busses as much as possible!

Rain walker, he is great to do business with and his customer service is top notch.!

The only sheath I currently have set up for IWB is for my Mojo.
I change my kydex attachments whenever I need to as it only takes a few minutes with a philips screwdriver, but where I live there is very little need for IWB, especially this time of year.
Here are some pics of how simple this beautiful system is and the concept is the same for the smaller blades.

You asked about smaller blades, but with Buy Brown's thinner kydex options and the simple, but very effective belt loop attachment, it works excellent on any of his sheaths.
I have carried AD, BAD, GW, SAR 3, CABS, S5LE, HACK & many of the larger blades with this method.
If you already have a kydex sheath with an eyelet up high you can probably contact Dave for some of the adjustable belt bands and the necessary hardware to make it work.

Thanks for the pics Tim! That mojo pretty much disappeared under them jeans. For any pics of the GW and sar 3? Those are the smaller shorter ones I could see a thin kydex just being there and me not feeling it at all...

Jeff or Dave, Leather or kydex. Can't go wrong either way. Both are great guys to work with.

Thank you for the recommendations guys.

I make a IWB pocket sheath for the SAR 3's and several other small blades.
Those clips Jeff uses are sweet.

Well shoot... Dave beat me to it, but since I went to the trouble of setting it up and taking the pics, I am gonna show you what one of his well used pocket sheaths set up for IWB looks like after a year of wear. :p

This shows my favorite belt carry method... another way to wear the Buy Brown pocket sheath with a tek-lok. I would suggest you ask for the eyelets on the sheath spaced for IWB loop as well as both a small & large tek-lok just for flexibility. ;)

And finally, this is what you can do with the same pocket sheath simply by removing all of the hardware and slipping it in your pocket. I actually had to pull the handle up a few inches in order for it to be visible as it is completely concealed in the pocket otherwise. The hook at the top of the sheath catches on the back of the pants pocket to allow you to draw the knife without the sheath and works surprisingly well. It's a three for one bargain. ;)

This thread makes me think that I need to get a few good sheaths for my EDC knives.
