Now that Chiro75 has retired, who do you all recommend for good Concealex/Kydex sheaths? Thanks.

From what I have seen, Normark's stuff is every bit as good as what mine is!

Also, Mike Sastre of River City Sheaths is supposed to be really good. Don't know what the waiting times are like. I'd really like to get samples of sheaths from all the main makers, as well as info on wait times, prices, etc and add them to a Kydex FAQ of sorts. We'll see how that pans out, on top of all my other projects!

Normark, how does international postage affect things for your American customers?

Chiro..

Ummmm postal problems are no biggie...
The biggest problem I have is shipping time...Takes a few days to get anything here...

If I get a blade from someone,, I try and have it out in less than a week.
Usually... Right now I have a couple of blades waiting for sheathing,,ran out of concealex...Dang!

Have lots,,but the wrong thickness....Just did a large order for sheaths for ProEdge,, and wasn't paying attention to my stock..

Normally though, they are done in a few days,,and back out they go...

Chiro...
Keeps your eyes peeled for a Simonich/On Scene Tactical collaboration in the next few months....

When everything gets rolling I'll let everyone know whats going on...All I'll say right now,,is that someone is going to own a Beautiful blade!!!

Chiro...
Send me a list of your blades,, if I've got one the same as you,,I'll do up a sample and send it over to you...
Chances are I won't... My knife list is pretty lousy.. I could still send you a sample of my work though..
No problem...

Actually.. Keep your eyes open for a few reviews that may come out..Just sent out a bunch of Concealex for the Fallkniven A1 and some CRK Projects and Shadows...

Thanks....

I also recommend Eric (Normark). I've been exceptionally happy with the sheath he built for me. As an added bonus, I'm Canadian too so I don't have to worry about international shipping!

My fiancee is sending Eric my Randall Made #16-7" Special Fighter #1 to Eric as soon as it comes and she takes a picture of it. I will be at MCRD S.D. at the time and will not be able to see the knife for at least 2.5 months...
(The picture is for her to send me at Boot-can't get enough of those pretty knife pictures

...
I recommend Eric from the work I have seen...

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Normark:

From some of the replies, it appears that you make good sheaths, but I don't like the idea of sending my knife in an international shipment.

Hi K Williams

Well best I can say is insure it well and send it with someone you trust...

I assure you,, that I haven't had a problem yet with someone sending me their knife, and it getting lost.

We do this sort of thing on a daily basis. Very few parcels get lost these days. Especially when they are insured...

Don't worry too much about it. Everything will be fine if you take precautions.

What kind of blade is it ???

Thanks,,and I do understand your concerns..

It's a Dozier Arkansas Toothpick. The Dozier IWB sheath is OK, but it doesn't carry the knife how I'd like it to.

Hi K...

I did one for Scaba a few months ago.. I wish I had known...

I've got a sheath in he shop,,but I believe it is for left hand carry...

What do you want the sheath to do ???

As far as sending it....

I do it ALL the time.. Actually everyone ships knives to and from Canada.. It's not like shipping something overseas..

I assure you it Will be fine to send...
I take extremely good care of my customers knives and take Every Precaution to insure it gets back and forth with no problems or delays...

Drop me a note,, we'll talk..
