Concealing a BT

Awhile back there was a thread about concealing a BT and I got to thinking that I'd like to be able to carry mine everyday without letting everybody know. After a little research I sent my knife in to Survival Sheath Systems to have a sheath and harness made. I liked the looks of the Van Cook so I ordered it.

The sheath is top notch. The knife locks in very positively and it came with holes all around the edge for different mounting points of the straps. However, after I wore it for about a week I decided I didn't really care for the straps criss-crossing behind my back because A)they would scoot up and pinch my neck and B)it seemed like the straps were either too loose or too tight.

To fix the problem I just reconfigured the straps to look something like this: Survivor I like this setup a lot better. It conceals really well under a loose button up shirt or t-shirt. I also wear an undershirt between me and the knife because the straps and buckles rub the skin.

Overall I think it's a good deal for $50. And if anyone is interested I have a few pics of it on me I can email.

I'd like pics, please! Also, I've taken to wearing my BT on my calf, tip-up, so all I have to do is release the snap strap (without even lifting my pant leg) and the blade drops into my hand.

Sure its not the fastest, but it works well. Besides, I'm carrying more for emergency/utility use, and I don't need it often at ALL, so speed isn't necessary.

My EDC basically consists of my Leatherman Supertool in my pack and one of my Strider Buck Folders in my pocket. Though this is sufficient for all my purposes, I certainly can imagine people having other needs and therefore other tools with them.
Still, I do wonder in what kind of warzone you guys are living to have a need for a concealed BT?? Though my BT is still on order, and I haven't actually seen one with my own eyes, it seems to be kind of large for an EDC, to me that is.
This is not meant as critisicm, I am honestly wondering about what need one might have for a concealed BT, that's all. Please enlighten me. Thanks.

Actually, I'm living in a "war zone" that has been attacked by terrorists and likely will be attacked again. :(

Remember 9/11/01? I do...

The BT is one of the finest, toughest blades in the world, and I could very easily see it being a life-saving implement if it came to that.

THAT'S why I carry mine concealed everyday. Sad but true. :(

Just got a MT UT for EDC and "utility" use! :D

Carrying a big concealed knife is like wearing a seatbelt;

A little uncomfortable, you hope you will not need it, and if you do need it, it's really gonna' suck if you don't have it.

I can't think of any place in the world where you can be 100% sure you will not need a knife, "warzone" or not.

Guys, listen, I am not disputing the need for a knife on a daily basis, nor am I ignoring the fact that your country is indeed faced by a clear threat of attack, I was just wondering whether a BT isn't a bit excessive..

Of course I lack your unique perspective, since I live near no ground zero, and besides, I am not even allowed to carry a fixed blade of any size, so maybe it's just envy:D ..

So since you can and feel the need, I wish to the best of luck (actually concealing a BT seems like a challenge enough). Thanks for the explanations though.

Christiaan,

You're right it is a BIG knife for EDC, but since I have it-why not? I don't have a job (yet) where I will need it but it's better than leaving it in a drawer. And besides, I can. ;) Also, what Molexey said.

Drjones,

I haven't forgot about sending pictures.
