Concensus needed on Iphone4 case

Things are going slow so I'm thinking of doing a few phone cases for sale (I pocket carry) so I'd like some pointers on what most people would want. I'll be wet molding veg-tan leather with a black deerskin lining. The veg-tan will be dyed black to match. Here's my dilemmas... Sewn belt loop or (black) spring clip? Flap with snap or leave it open? Horizontal or vertical? If horizontal, spring belt clip is a no-go.

I'm not an iPhone person, but a friend has a case that opens vertically, with a clip, and is held closed with magnets.

Cool! I'm gonna try the magnet thing on the flap and a piece of flat steel in the face.

Just a question. Is a magnet a good idea close to electronics? I don't know, just asking. Logic would dictate they may not be compatible.

Magnets are okay for most things, Blackberry uses them in their cases and the unit senses the magnet, knows that means its in its case and shuts off the screen to save power. Cathode Ray Tubes (TV Tubes), floppy disks, and magnetic stripe credit cards and other cards, even hotel room keys, will be erased if you get it near a magnet. So watch out.
