...Just got my first Kershaw that doesn't "HONK" or "LEEK" all over the place. The problem with it, however, is that it has "BLURRED" my perception of sharpness. Yep...I got a Blur..an SG2 Blur to be exact. I'm sure you old-time Kershaw fans are more than familiar with these sweeties but as a relative NOOB to Kershaw I'm about as impressed as I could be. This knife has one of the sharpest "factory edges" I've ever seen. I have a few semi-custom BG-42 knives, from the other great manufacturer I buy from, that are similar but for a factory blade this one astounds me. I can't believe how thin and perfect the tip has been ground, yet it is not a fragile blade. How sharp is it??...When I opened the box and slid it out of the plastic bag the hairs on my arm jumped to the floor all by themselves...:eek:...You will be careful with this Blur...or you'll be buying band-aids by the case or becoming really familiar with your local ER staff...:p:thumbup::thumbup:

...Well OL as luck would have it I work in a surgery center so I have all the "essentials" of life preservation I may need should the Blur reach out to "touch" me......LOL...Lordy this is one sharp knife. It is definitely one of those that I wouldn't dare let any "sheeple" use for even the simplest of tasks. I'll let ya all know what I think of it in a week or two. I see nothing about it that could possibly dampen my current enthusiasm about it...:)

Sweet! The Blur has such a great shape to it.
As for sharpness, that is what Kershaw is famous for, sharpest knives out of the box.

Nice pick-up!

$%&*!! why wont this thing let me type a looong sentence without putting a space in there? I didn't put a space in there...I typed one long word...did someone come along and mysteriously put a space in there when I wasn't looking? Does glockman have some sort of control over my keyboard? If I didn't hit the space bar then who did? And why do they have braille on the keypads at the drive up ATM's?

well, I was working on my bump today, looked at my index finger, oh look! a flap of skin! about a minute later, looked at my thumb, oh look! blood! I never felt a thing, just cut right through me like butter. Kershaw sure knows how to put an edge on their knives!
