Conceptual Gold ?

I have both tapes, like them a lot. Generally I like "conceptual" tapes, play them over and over. Watching these, some things clicked right away. Other stuff, a lot more, just keeps coming. I practice, think it over as I'm wandering around, and things fall into place. Opened up a whole world of trapping and grabbing that I'd never been able to quite grasp before. The first one, the Kali tape, has been better for me. I'm having more trouble with the Silat tape. That is, I get more out of the Kali tape, faster. I'm not experienced enough to know if that's because of my own background, or my body type, or whatever, just to say that I have the tapes, I liked them, and try to elaborate a little. Hope this helps.

Chetnik and SteveA,

If I might make a suggestion for "balls to the wall" study...

A firm base is to be found in these two tapes...

When you start looking deep and add the influence of Kelly Worden's "Destroy, Trap, Lock" tape, Guro Plink's (sp?) Pentjak Silat tape and "Jim Grover's Combatives" tape series...all available from Paladin Press...you will see such a feast for your mind. It is incredible.

I know it is expensive...

I have also seen fellas who have oodles of expensive knives who don't like to buy instructional materials or pay for instruction...one good knife you will never carry and only drool at once a month would buy this and probably a few more...depending on the knife.
