Hey guys, need your advice,

I posted an order for a TGLB on the 20th of March. A lot of guys on here have already got the confirmation email and had their payment taken (or even received their knives) and they ordered around the same time as me, or in some cases after! :eek:

I'm hoping that the delay is caused by the guys at Busse manufacturing different blade finish/handle combinations in batches, and that they haven't got round to my combo (tanker grey/black micarta). I don't want to email them asking what gives because it'll make me sound like a impatient, pedantic arsehole. Do any of you guys know what's going on or have experience of this?

You posted an order on the forum or did you order through the website or send the girls or Garth and order?

Posting an order on the forum doesn't get entered into the system AFAIK

I ordered through the website, and I had my card charged with $1 when the order went through.
 
I would give Lexi a call at the shop just to make sure everything is on track. She is always very pleasant to speak with!:) Anything could be responsible for a set back on your order, usually something out of their control, and I know it is very hard to be patient, but I am sure you wouldn't be a bother by calling just to check.
 
I heard the sound when I saw your username and the exclamation point in the thread title.
 
I wouldn't worry to much. I have ordered a couple TGLB's some got to me rather quickly and one took awhile. It's a tough wait but well worth it in the end :thumbup::)
 
mine took 7 weeks. maybe it was the handle / finish combo, not sure but I do know it was worth the wait. be sure to order a sheath now so its not teasing you from its tactical cardboard. I expexted a longer wait.... so I had to modify y SFNO sheath to hold the TGLB till my proper sheath showed up.
 
I ordered one in February. It took about 6 weeks and 3 days. I emailed lexi at a lil over 4 weeks and she said they were starting on machining the black and tan G10 scales so I suspect it is all done in batches and when you place an order for whatever combo if your combo doesn't fall on thier production schedule your order may take longer than others... this is just a hunch. ...
 
Please contact Lexi at lexi@bussecombat.com or call (419)923-6471. We have no problem figuring this out for you. Do not feel like you are being impatient! We want you to be comfortable with your purchase. :thumbup:

Sorry about that. Not sure how you took it offensively, but I was referring to Snake in the Metal Gear Solid game series, who's based on Snake Plissken. You play a spec ops agent, and anytime an enemy notices you, there's a huge exclamation point above their heads accompanied by some dramatic strings sound.

No, no dude, I was joking! I don't normally speak (or type) with a cockney accent, I knew you meant the 'WHAA!!' noise when snake gets discovered. don't worry man, no offence taken ;)

I have no way to locate an order from a forum name but if you would like to send me a PM with your real name I can get a status update on your knife when I get back to the shop tomorrow and let you know. Or like others have said, I am sure Lexi would be more than happy to help you out as well.
