Concerning the Bear Claw

Out of PURE CURIOSITY, can you hold the Bear Claw in reverse grip? Don't have that knife (yet).

Regards, vC

I second that. The bear claw is optimzed for holding with the index finger in the finger hole.

While it could be held in a reverse grip with the pinky going through the hole, it's not very stable, nor comfortable. I don't have large hands, but in that grip, the handle seems small even for me.

I'll agree.

In the reverse position it feels like my pinky could get easily hurt if any force is applied - and you KNOW it will be!

:)

Try a Spyderco SPOT or the new Swick. Comfortable to hold in reverse grip (edge out).

Second that, the Spot and preferably the Swick is a better choice as a defensive small fixed blade.
I also have the bear claw and regret the purchase.
