condition?

Looks like after clean up it would be "good" condition. The blade shows evident sharpening. I'd pay $80-100 for it but that doesnt mean its only worth that much. I'm never right in my appraisals:foot:

thanks man, im considering bidding on it, but i know nothing about those models

Dont trust me woody, If you search the bay under buckmaster or 184, you'll get enough hits to be able to get an idea of your own. Who knows, this guy may have the reserve at more than a reasonable value for a used condition knife. People see NIBs going at huge numbers and think they all should.

I saw that one. Between the reserve being on it and $30 shipping I passed without bidding.

Personally, I would buy this knife only if it were to be for the sole purpose of being an EDC. It, and its sheath are in quite used condition. Notice it also is missing the guard pins, which would deduct another $60-65 from its value. Pouches are missing and it appears that the sharpening stone is missing. Only my personal opinion, but I wouldn't bid on it. $30 shipping is a total rip-off. If it were a pristine knife, I'd still knock off $100+ for the missing items and the outrageous shipping. The earlier advice by Imafritz to check EBAY is good advice.

But like the seller says: " we know how to treat people right!!"

Telechronos:):):)

i didnt see the $30 shipping, so i will probably pass on this one. looking used, and hoping for a low reserve, i was expecting others to overlook it making it a cheap buy for me. i havent ever had one of these knives, but the prices they demand usually is out of my range, im a tightwad. LOL...but thanks for the input guys, i appreciate it.

Woody,
Throw a bid on it that you're willing to pay (including the $30 shipping), if you break the reserve with it then you may get a deal.

If the reserve is too high then you're free to move on. I would at least give it a shot.

There are collectors who would scream at you for even suggesting that...there are Buck 110 collectors on this forum who will not shine the bolsters on their 110's, saying that the patina is an inevitable part of the aging process, and only adds to the value...

I like the look of this knife [the patina]... ;)

But if you want to blow milk/soda/beer all over your keyboard/monitor, take a look at what this early M16 bayonet went for... :D

i got 4 days, im just gonna watch it and go from there. i have a new Auto Ordnance M1 Carbine ordered, so i have to watch what i spend for awhile.

I won't even bid or buy a knife if I feel as though I am being gouged by a seller on shipping charges. I guess its one of my pet peeves you could say. I recently sold a couple of my compound bows online, I can ship a $600.00 bow at 8 pounds shipping weight (insured) for $17.00
But maybe the seller has the reserve at $1000.00 and his shipping cost is fully insured :D
Good luck either way!

There was a guy on GB who rationalized his shipping charges by saying that it took time to box, wrap, stuff paper/bubble wrap in box, tape it up, address it, and take it to the shipper...

I guess he felt it kept him from doing real work...

Sorry I would have replied sooner, but I was wiping beer off my monitor and keyboard :D

That was very impressive! I wish I had a colt bayonet :D

His time is worth something to ship that Buckmaster, but not 30.00 ;) LOL
