condoms

As a Navy Corpsman, I have access to more condoms than I can shake a stick at when on duty. We hand them out for the asking. Most are used for personal protection, but a bunch are certainly used for gear protection amongst my Marines. I have seen them used for everything imaginable. One of my favorites is for covering pencil detonators to keep them waterproof. The condom doesn't really stop anything when it goes off though.

Hello Recondoc1 : I'm glad you made the "practice posting." I have had a few slip-ups myself. Nice to learn that a Navy person has used the product on a wide variety of items. Now I know why our federal taxes are so high, what with our Navy personnel using condoms for everything while at sea and on shore leave.. ..just kidding.

I'll never forget my 16 yr.old daughter finding some items I had covered for water protection when we were packpacking/camping. You know, I did not think anything about it. I put the condoms down,went to do something and when I came back I observed her using them to cover up her lipstick, comb, small brush and other items. She looked at me and said somithing to the effect.." It's OK dad, I catch on quick and thanks for the lesson." It rained hard all night and into the next morning. We broke camp in the rain, hiked in the rain all day and set up camp in the rain that night. She was happy that her cosmetics were dry.
