Today I received my Condor Golok, first of all I'm very impressed with the fit and finish for a $27 machete..

1/4" on spine at handle, tapers to about 3mm at tip, 14" long, very solid in hand, nice handle with a ball grip on end, decent finish overall.. The spine is exposed and shiny with no grooves from machining whatsoever !! Came paper cutting sharp with a mirror finished edge..

The sheath is an absolute steal at $16 very well made and fits the machete like a glove..

I immediately took the knife to chopping, very pleased with its balance and solid chopping ability.. very pleased with knife overall, however I will say it was more narrower then I expected and almost seemed like a baby chete..

I will post comparison photos to typical machetes later..

Got mine last week but its been raining since then!
I like it but would be tempted to flatten the wood slabs on the sides. As it is now the grip is round like a shovel handle.
Anybody know if the wood handle is attached with brass pins/bolts or are they rivets (with the cap)?

That one even got beautiful wood put on the handle.

Just picked up three of the newer model with full tang, one for me, one each for my brother and my dad.
They are a pretty damn cool piece (although my brother already chipped his chopping frozen wood and accidentally hitting the concrete a time or two...:D)

Where in Canada did you purchase Condor Products? :O

Had to go through New Graham Knives in the States.:(
Good service, but the shipping costs more, AND you get dinged with the GST/PST and "handling fee". No duty though.:)

I tried REALLY hard to find them in Canada, but it seems no one carries them here...I don't know why.

The Condor Golok is a chopping beast. I reviewed a prototype I picked up at Blade 2009. I have been carrying mine in a Martindale 14" bolo machete sheath. Maybe I'll break down and get the proper sheath for it. Thanks for the pictures and review.

The sheath is pretty fantastic for that model--you'll find yourself really appreciating the swivel on that one, as the snapless design and the shape of the handle all come together to make for a really effortless cross-draw. It's fun doing machete Iaido with it. :D

Thanks for the review and great photos. Saw the new Condor catalog and this model caught my eye. Will have to pick one up.
