Hi all I have been wondering about the boomslang by condor. I id a search but didn't really find any user pics or detailed write ups.

Thank you,

Ps I'm also interested in the speed Bowie.

Thanks

Both are excellent values that perform well above their price point. What were you wanting to know about them? I don't have any user photographs of either model, but TwinStick has some of the Boomslang.

I just got mine several days ago, I had to sharpen mine up a bit cause it was pretty dull when I received it. I
can never get the whole knife evenly Sharp though, there is a 1" area that refuses to get shaving Sharp. Not sure if the heat treat is equal throught the whole blade.

I have seen pics of unused ones but haven't found anyone who has really used rheirs and reviewed or posted pics. I sent you an email too.
Thankd

I bought a parang from condor last year at smkw's and had to go through a whole bunch to find a good one. I love it, but I had to do the same with gransfer axes too, and they are triple the cost.

How do you like it, have you used it yet or are you still trying to get an edge on it?
Thanks

I gave up on trying to get an edge, I like the forward weight a lot, its great at blasting through wood, not sure about the soft stuff though as I have yet to cut any. The knife is stoic Sharp after use except the small area which seems to annoy me.

If that spot is bothering you I'd send it back in to them. If you contact Rick Jones at rtj2@att.net then he'll send you a prepaid shipping label and send out a replacement. If there's really a soft spot on it they'll want to scope that out to find out how it happened.
