id like to give my props tocondor. for an inexpensive knife it performs very well. sheath is awesome. out of thebox it was not sharp, or dull. but a useable chopping edge. few minutes on the sharpmaker and is sha ing sharp. grinds are even. handle is comfy no hot spots, works well with and without gloves. now for the not so good. the sheath although very functional and good quality, has no dranage hole which would be easily remedied. next the coating, just paint i think, that being said, 10min with stripper and it looks beautiful. the gri.ds are great, but the sholder of the edge needs to be knockex off. i have other choppers similar in spec that costs more, and performs less. witha bit of work this is a very capable tool, thats a pleasure to use and i would reccomend toanyone looking for a knife like this

Paint comes off in a jiffy, I spent a minute and polished mine a bit. The edge on mine was too thick and long for a conventional sharpening system I think so I convexed it on my belt sander
