Condor Bushlore knife...

I have the Bushlore knife, that thing is a brute, very close to the BK2:thumbup:

Never really heard much about this steel. How is it compared to 1095? i have been wanting a scandi knife to try for a long time and have just not spend the cash. This would be a good way to compare a scandi to all my convex madness before spending big bucks.

I have one coming in a passaround from another forum. Ill try my hand at my first knife review! :)

I came across this knife in the latest SMKW flier. Carbon steel blade with a very similar profile to the "woodlore" pattern. Price point about twenty five bucks. The same company also offers several inexpensive "bushcraft" knives, might be interesting to experiment with.

do they say anywhere on their site exactly what 'carbon steel' they are using? Heat treat? Anything?
Am I wrong in thinking this brand is a third world product?

My Bushcraft Basic 4" from Condor is 1070 steel with an excellent heat treat.

Condor is in El Salvador.

I handled one while at SMKW, it looked like it would perform admirably. I was actually going to get one of these and the Rodan, but decided to get the Condor Viking instead.

Fortytwo blades. You are 100 percent correct, I have the both of those and just got them mixed up in what used to be my mind.:D I also have the little 2 inch Bush craft.
