Well..this will be an ongoing review. Out of box..not so sharp..after I tended the edge though..if I slip..I will need more than stitches. Fit and finish is very nice. Beveled and ground nicely, even coat, micarta is smooth. Pins are well fitted. Sheath though..its a pos, plain and simple. The sheath is a thin material, mine has no retention except the strap. The knife itself, i am very pleased with, and for the price...is excellent! Hehe..my edge on it, the knife slices like a razor.

Wood carving:Goes through both green and seasoned like butter.Blade has ffg, and is tapered well. It makes nice thin curls and the micarta scales grip very well. Handle so far has caused no hot spots. Because of its ffg grind, the blade battons very well, but I only had poplar on hand for this..no oak or hickory.. So far, I really like it. At the price, may get a 2nd one. Sheath still sucks. Blade tends to get caught in it. But the knife itself, for its humble price, is absolutely magnificent! BRAVO Condor! Excellent work! Makes my 3rd Condor product, and I have been extremely satisfied by all!

I bought a crotalus today and find your review to be spot on. I'll have to touch up the blade. I love the knife. I am looking for a replacement sheath.

Try a Spec Ops brand combat master sheath in short. It may require a little tightening of the insert though. Fits well and very durable. The pocket fits most Leatherman multitools.
