About a week ago I started throwing knives. I built a 30" x 72" target board out of 2x10s. I painted six 5" black dots on it and set it up in my basement. Below the target I put a couple carpet remnants to catch the throws that don't stick.

I throw: no spin (from the handle) out to 6 feet, half spin (from the blade) at 6 feet, and full spin (from the handle) at 13½ feet.

I use six 12" Condor 'Dismissals'. They're hefty and don't bend. The points are sharp. The edges are not. (That's good.) They're my first throwing knives so I don't have anything to compare them against. I'm really enjoying them.

It's relaxing and helps get me off the couch in these arctic temperatures.

Sounds like you have a nice setup! I have a condor dismissal thrower too. It is a great, well balanced knife. Not too heavy. Enjoy yourself!
