I Finished up the sheath last night, and fixed my camera enough for it to turn on for 40 seconds. I hope you guys like it! I'm pretty happy with it. Light, secure, good friction fit. Although now I'm thinking I might strip the coating off the blade, which would necessitate a new scabbard...
I'll be out tomorrow cutting up some brush thats trying to take over my old logging road, mostly scraggly birch that can't stand up straight, along with blackberries and hemlock. I'll tell you how it handles in the scrub!


 
back from the hike, and I'm pretty happy with it all in all. The angle is right where I want it, and the frog holds tightly. I think, though, that I might make a different frog, in more of a pancake holster style, to hold it up higher and keep it from swinging as much. Thanks for the compliments, guys.
 
very nice work indeed...:thumbup: i found a "fancy" machete sheath for mine in the garage, it fits perfectly.. though i am still debating on making another...:)
