I just ordered their Combat Axe (http://www.condortk.com/productsdetail.php?prodid=18) and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? I've heard lots and lots of good stuff about Condor in general so I'm pretty confident buying one of their products for the first time. I got it mostly to throw and generally abuse so I can quit beating the heck out of my Coal Creek Forge spike hawk (which actually takes the abuse really well!). Either way, I'll post some comments once I get it.

I had a Condor battle hawk and it broke on me while throwing. The rotation was too fast for me so I put a longer handle on it, made it too heavy, made a bad throw and it snapped under the head. Loved the design though. The edge profile was great and the spike was well done.

Snake Dr., yeah, even better is, the place I ordered it from had the price marked at $36.48 when I bought it. I went back to their site the next day and they had raised the price by $9. :p YAY ME! Should have it this week some time, so pics and a down and dirty review will follow.

Aleyn1975, I'm not familiar with that model. Do you have any pics of it?

Hey Billy, If you got the Combat Axe for that price you got a Deal ! That's the same price as there lower priced Throwing Axe, I think the one Aleyn1975 would be refering to would be the 4 th' one down In there listing, Most likely the same one your refering to, They call It there Trowing Axe & Combat Axe but there both of a Hawk Style, The cheaper Model would be the Thrower, The 3 rd' one down on there Web-Page and the more expensive Model Is there Combat style and that's the 4 th' one down, So If your getting the Combat syle at that price It's a Great Deal, Here's there Listing, http://www.condortk.com/products.php?type=3

Well, it showed up Monday and I have been playing with it a little for the last few evenings. First impressions are:

- small and lightweight
- pretty sharp out of the box - sharp enough to cut paper, but it wouldn't stick into any wood targets other than some fresh, wet palm rounds. I am working on the edge though so I can get better sticks
- throws pretty good too but due to the small size and faster rotation, I needed to move about a step closer to my target compared to my other hawks
- I like the wood handle slabs, but they were just a bit rough at first - hit em with a little 400 grit sandpaper and gave them a few coats of Danish Oil, and they're much better
- leather sheath is decent too
- the spike is sharp and penetrates wood and coconuts nicely:D

Overall, it seems like a tough little hawk with some decent capabilities as an emergency tool and might end up riding in my truck.

I will post up more thoughts and some pics this weekend.
