Hey guys.
Does any of you know what the tang of the Condor hudson bay looks like? Is it skeletonized?
I have seen some people (on youtube) replacing the handles, but there have never been a picture of the tang.
Hope you can help me out here

Thanks

Jonas

Someone else will have to confirm this, but I'm pretty sure it's not skeletonized.

But, I wouldn't let even the chance of skeletonized tangs scare you from a knife you're interested in. They should be more than strong enough, they're are plenty of great/tough knives with skeletonized tangs :).

Handling it and also looking around on the internet, as well as looking at the placement of the pins...I highly doubt it is skeletonized. It may have some holes cut out for the sake of balance, but if it were skeletonized like say a BK16, or ESEE 6, it would likely feel a lot more blade heavy. As it is, it is a surprisingly fast knife, so obviously not that blade heavy.

I have seen quite a few blades with skeletonized tangs break. Often due to bad heat treatment.

RemyKaze: I´m pretty sure the Esee6 does not have a skeletonized tang. None of the Esee knife are, other than the Izulas and candiru.

I actually already have the Hudson bay, i was just wondering about the tang on it. Maybe i just have to remove the scales on mine to have a look.

I was actually going to say the Izula at first, haha. Decided to name a larger knife, but I rarely take the scales off my 6. My bad. The HB is probably done the same way, with just the holes for pins. It would keep the cost down.

Yup, the Esee 6 is not skeletonized. I think the only Esees that are would be the Candiru, Izulas, and laser strike.
