Anyone have any info on this "knife" that looks more like a machete?Could not find a lot on this knife period and nothing on this site,or at least by the search....
I only picked these up after having my sights set on the 12' ontario CT1 machete and found these condors for a higher MSRP but on clearance for CHEAP so I snatched 2 of them up.Havent got them yet,but one of them will be coming with me camping this weekend.

42-blades is probably the most competent to comment about this particular short machete since he is a Condor dealer. I like Condor stuff, but don't know anything about this one.

I actually have one of these. It's a damn fine little chopper, I use it to hack up wood and make campfires sometimes. Also works great for clearing out saplings and brush. All in all, it's a good little tool. It's basically what I use as a machete.

Hey thanks to both of you....Is it nice and pretty like most condors or kind of utilitarian like a cold steel?

It looks pretty much like the picture. You have a good blade and your basic polymer handle(which I personally don't find pretty), you do get the nice Condor leather sheath though. The quality will be a bit better than Cold Steel's machetes, so will the sheath, but as far as looks it doesn't look as nice as Condor's wood or micarta handled stuff, IMO.

Yes I agree. The sheath is very nice and the "knife"is also.Very heavy and well made, although its a machete, lol

It's very utilitarian, like the rest of the condors. Very simple, sturdy design. The inca I have is 420HC, I don't think they make a carbon model, but it's a moot point either way, the damn thing is nigh on indestructible. I've chopped, hacked, pried, dug, and cut through a nail once. It was damaged afterwards, but I gave it a quick touch up and it's still going strong.

It's nicer than a CS, and the warranty is probably better too. Granted I don't see you ever NEEDING the warranty, but it's a nice touch.

Looks like a good all-rounder for the outdoors. Would prefer it with Condor's wooden handle and wonder why there must be so much unsharpened blade next to the hilt ?

Herisson: I think that's so your hand doesn't slide right onto the blade if you slip. You know how it is, you use this beast chopping for 3 hours and your sweaty, tired, and you might make a mistake. That little section also works pretty nice when using a ferro rod. Scrapes the magnesium right off! I would prefer it with wood handles too, but you take what you get. Shame though, the wood handle feels so much nicer in the hand, and it's treated so it's resistant to water.
