Condor knives grip modifications?

I have a condor rodan and kumunga, and yes I had to resharpen them, but beyond that they seem a stoudt knife...

Question is, has anyone done any custom modifications to the grip handles? They are a bit big for my liking, and wondering if anyone has tried to shape the rubber handles or replaced them with something else. Pics would be appreciated if anyone has them of their mods...

Thanks in advance.

You can shape them with a belt sander, though it uglies 'em up a bit. The excess rubber greeblies that build up on the handle during the process can be removed by scraping them off with a knife or razor blade. You must have super tiny hands though! I have little girly hands (I take a ladies' size 8 glove! Makes finding work gloves a pain :o) yet I still find the Rodan and Kumunga handles a very comfortable size.

I like the rodan and kumunga,,, the handles are a bit large and baton like,,,thinking of profiling the rubber handles or perhaps just cutting them off and putting micarta slabs on them!

Has anyone cut off the handles to see if it has a full tang or at least enough metal to mount some micarta to?

One of my concerns with sanding is that the handles are not solid and are like the stock Becker handles. So if you sanded just a little to deep it would cut into the hollow of the handle and the whole thing would basically be ruined.

I put grooves half way down into my rodan and it was solid all the way down on that rubberized handle, don't know about all condor products though...

All of their injection molded handles are SOLID. That's how injection molding works. ;)

And here's what the tang looks like.

Larger image. 42 just barely beat me ;)

Same image--mine's just an attachment rather than direct link. It'll make it faster for me to find again in the future. :D

Awesome. Thanks guys. I feel better grinding on the handles now.
As always, thanks for the help.
