Once again Condor of El Salvador impresses me! I just snagged two of those Condor knives offered in the last Smokey Mountain Knife Works catalog at $21.99 each. I got the 4" model because they were out of the 5" which I wanted.
I tell you what guys. If you want one of the best deals going in a true outdoors woodcrafter/ bushcraft type scandi grind sheath knife these are some of the best deals I've seen. 1075 blade steel, in what appears to be between 3/32 and 1/8" stock and black epoxy type finish for the coating. Honestly I've paid more for sheaths not as nice as this one that came with the knife and I got the whole knife for sheath and all at $21.99! I figured the sheaths would be cheap and needing replaced right away. To my surprise they are actually heavy leather and quite nice and they hold the knife very well and sit well on your belt. The wooden handles are finished well and comfortable. The knives are sharp and ready to go right out of the package and basically I'm very pleased with the purchase.
I've been really impressed with the Condor Machetes and I kind of figured their knives would be much the same. Turns out I was right! I'll be buying more of these! Check em out while supplies last. I don't expect deals like these to be around that long and don't be surprised if they tell you, "sorry, those are out of stock."
I'll bet that Golok they had in there is awesome!
