I was wanting to know if all Condor knives have a scandi grind, or is it just the bush craft/lore line of knives? I have a med. bushcraft, a bushlore a sapien, a nessmuk, and a rodan and was wanting to know the edge types of the rodan and the nessmuk. Thanks for any and all help.:D

None of them have a real Scandinavian grind in my opinion. They use a saber grind with a convex edge.

The Bushcraft Basic and Bushlore series have a very slight convex to them in a style commonly referred to as "scandivex." It doesn't take much work to convert them if you so choose, but it's not a pure-blooded scandi. They cut very well regardless, and the edge is more durable as a result.

The Nessmuk has a similarly shallow "scandivex" to it in most recent examples, while the Rodan has a very narrow true convex edge and a full flat grind. It cuts like a Mora but it's a much better slicer. I love mine and have beaten it half to death and back and it keeps begging for more. :D

Condor products ROCK !!! VERY high bang for the buck. You may have to reprofile certain ones though. I have a Boomslang & LOVE it, but i did have to reprofile the blade. I know there is a Hudson Bay knife & some others in my future sometime.
