Does anyone have the Condor KTACK Kukri? I have a few questions if you do:

- Can the sheath be configured for scout carry like Alan Kay's sheath that supposedly inspired it?

- Did they ever put the bow/drill notch in the handle like Joe Flowers said they would?

- Does it have a 90 degree spine to strike a ferro rod?

- Does the swell in the butt make your hand feel cramped?

- Does your hand ever feel like it's going to slip forward? I'm scared of blades with no guard.

Thank you.

Blades with no guards are fine
I often feel they are "nanny safety measures" and constrict use options
Just be safe

I have one of the 1st models. The Condor Kukri (CTK255-10HC) with the hardwood/walnut handle. Except for the handle material they both look the same.

These came with a so-so black leather sheath that pivots so, it can be carried both ways. And it remains diagonal or vertical without problems.

On this one, the front of the spine that drops forward, is a bit rounded but the back part of the spine (about 4.5" in length) that is more or less aligned with the handle - that is at 90 degrees.

The handle feels fine. It's roomy enough that the butt doesn't get in the way at all, but it's helpful if your grip were to slip back.

I've never had my grip slip forward that my hand gets close to the blade but, then again I've never used it in a stabbing motion.

For an extra thick blade this thing gets razor sharp. I sharpen it on sandpaper with a mouse pad underneath. This creates the proper contour for the convex grind.
