is the condor kukri a better chopping tool that the cold steel kukri and is the condor thicker than the cold steel.

no experience here with the condor.. although I have lots of experience with machetes as a whole, also in Khukuri variety..

the cheap CS $14 knife is a steal of a deal.. I've had one for about a year, have batoned, chopped, and cleared many brush with it, delimbed trees.. I've had this thing in the dirt hitting rocks dirt etc..

upon arrival the blade is okay, but would chip vary slightly.. I reprofiled and put a convexed edge on it and it hasn't chipped, rolled at all !!!

It's spine is a little thicker then other 'common' machetes I have including, tramotina and marbles which is typically thicker then most..

CS rocks.. !! pound for pound, dollar for dollar.. you can't go wrong..

my dad choped the head of deer with his cold steel in one wack. it chipped the blade a little but not to bad
