hey all....i was wondering if anyone has any experience with the condor lek for outdoor use? i'm wanting to pick one up and like the design, but am wondering about the quality. if it's just so so, i may just save a bit more and pick up an esee 3. thanks in advance.

Pro tip, a pic will generate discussion for people that aren't familiar with the blade, but would talk about it anyway. ;p

The handle looks ok, but it would be a gamble for me on if it would fit my hand properly. The part at the end I assume is some sort of pry bar or impact device for breaking windows or self defence?

I have four ESEE's and no buyers remorse on any of them. Which I can't say about all knives or brands.

I got to handle 4 styles of ESEE today I never tried when I picked up my maxpedition stuff, I have to say they were really nice.
Izula 2 is great, a step up from the first one with the longer handle. The ESEE 5 is a tank, way thicker then I thought, you could easily chop with it.
And the ESEE 3 with it's thinner scales really fit my hand just right. I think the 3 made it to my short list.

I'm a huge Condor nut but I'd say go with the ESEE-3 in this case. I love my 3. :)

LEK and 3 are totally different. I love both. The LEK would closer compare to a BK14 of Izula. All said, go with the Esee or both.

Thanks guys. I'm just gonna save for the esee. I'm not a fan of choils but I've heard nothing but greats things about esee so I may have to give them a shot.

ESEE will hold most of it's value, if it's not for you after light use sell it for a small loss and fund another purchase. I did it with many knives, including an ESEE 4, but if I had handled a 3 back then I would still have it I am sure. Orange scales too! *sigh*

Skip to end game and get a BK16 and be happy. One of the best mid sized knives out there, and a great value.
