Condor machete question

I was checking out their machetes this morning. These two are pretty much identical, at least according to the specs, however one is almost twice the price.

I was wondering, is it just Polypropylene handle that makes the second one more expensive or there's something more to it.

Micarta handle, and one doesn't have a micarta handle. Although both say polypropelene, the pictures are different.

Yup--the micarta is what bumps the price up. The material is more costly, requires machining (instead of just popping out of a mold) and requires mounting hardware. That's why the micarta-handled models cost what they do.
