Never owned a Condor knife, nor have I owned a Utilitac, but i'm torn between these to hard use knives. Which should I get?

Which one do you like? Does it need to fit in your pocket? This is a very apples to oranges question. They are completely different.

The Utilitac is nice for sure, but at the end of the day, it's still a folder. If something is going to fail under hard use, it'll likely be a moving part, so I would consider any folder as my backup.

If "hard use" is what you need out of your knife, you'll be better off with a fixed blade. The Bushlore is a cool design, so is the Rodan (a bit larger, and thicker). Nice solid chunks of 1075 for under $30.

Personally I think it comes down to a proper sized folder which you can use more often, carry more conveniently vs a child's first knife sized fixed blade...mini bushlore is not sized for man-hands. It's smaller than your average paring knife and has less gripping area than even a standard SAK. How rough are you gonna use such a little fixed blade that makes it more ideal than a folder?

That's why I would pick any decent folder with a 3-4 inch blade over it every time.
