Condor Rodan or Nessmuk which is best for general outdoor utility

I'm looking into getting my first Condor knife and was wondering which would be the best for general camping and survival chores and maybe some things that border on abuse if it calls for it.
 
Either would rock, but the Rodan is an absolute beast that I'd trust to rely on for just about anything. For a piece that cuts like a Mora but takes abuse like an ESEE, go with the Rodan. :cool::thumbup:
 
I prefer the blade shape on the Rodan over the Nessmuk - but that's personal preference and no reflection on the capabilities of either.
 
I have the Rodan too. It is a brute, Much like the BK-2. I think the Nessie would be a better slicer but the Rodan may be the better general use knife at camp.
 
Rodan for abuse. Nessmuk for hunting/slicing, yet you can do a degree of both. How about I do a pass around with one?

You totally should. More folks need to know the amazing awesomeness that is the Rodan! :D
 
I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but my nessmuk showed up on Tuesday... it's pretty nice. It feels good in the hand, but the shape of a nessmuk is more suited to game prep than a lot of other tasks.
 
I don't know about the Rodan but if it's as nice a knife as the Nessie then Go for ti ! I have the nessie & was really surprised at the quality of knife I got for the money ! the Rodan is on my Must have knife list ! :thumbup:

Joe since it looks like I'm going to be ordering a Rodan in a couple of days you can take my name off the list. I will probably get most of the Condor blades eventually. Thanks for the offer tho.
 
Joe what are the recs for a passaround? Never been in one and would like to compare this w/ my BK2
 
get it, use it for a week and a half, send it to the next guy, write a little bit about it.
