These don't get mentioned as much on the forum as other Condor knives.

Fondling my mini-collection of Condor Knives (Bushcraft and two Bushlores), the thought occurred to me, "Gee, I'd sure hate to carry one of these things." So heavy, and so much larger than anything I'd ever use. Wondering what other Condor knives might be more carry-able, my first idea was the Sapien.

Anyone use or carry one of these outdoors, around the shop, or in the kitchen?

I also saw a new model for the first time online tonight, the Kephart. Any comments are welcome, especially comparing the Kephart to the Sapien.

Both are fantastic knives. Imagine the Sapien as a hybrid of a paring knife and a Mora. Slim design with a shallow scandi-vex (convex zero saber) grind. The Kephart features a full flat grind and a wider (but still slim) blade. For what it's worth I have some "Grade B" Kepharts available that are quite nice. The descriptions make 'em sound worse than they are--we're just really picky. I've got some photos HERE. #4 is gone, but #1-3 are available still. Both the Sapien and the Kephart are great knives though I particularly like the Kephart.

You know I've looked at pics of them several times and really liked the design. How thick is the blade? Do they come with a pretty decent edge?

They typically come with a good edge on 'em. Blade is 1/8" thick. :)

Which one? I would say yes to both, but I have small hands. They fill my hands very nicely without being bulky. :)
