It came with a razor sharp mirror polished edge

and a really nice leather sheath

It chopped through a 4-5 inch thick dead willow with no problem:D

So far this is my favorite machete, it's thick enough for chopping and battoning but thin enough for brushy stuff and light enough to carry all day.
I also really like the sharped back edge its perfect for delimbing saplings and brushy stuff.

Thanks again FortyTwoBlades:thumbup:

I thought you did a really good job on the write up, and the video. You also showed good technique in saving energy and using a tool relatively safely. Good Baton technique. thanks.

I'll watch the vid later, but great write up. I have used my Viking a lot, and love it. Condor makes some excellent products.

Sweet work, man! Glad you're liking it! Nothing more satisfying than knowing I suggested a good tool for ya'!:thumbup:

I concur with FortyTwoBlades’ recommendation. I used it to clear briars, thick grass and small trees/shrubs along our lake’s edge. It was a hell of a task and I hit a few hidden cinder blocks and rocks. It does have a couple of small chips, but most dings rolled and were easily fixed. It’s easy to keep in razor sharp and great clearing tool. It's hard to think of this as 420 stainless; it really peforms well for a chopping/heavy-impact tool. Good review B.B.M.

The way I look at it is Condor's stainless is as good as everyone else's carbon steel but with added corrosion resistance, and Condor's carbon steel is head and shoulders above everything else. For the wet environment of the everglades the stainless quality will come in handy more than expected.

It's sort of their trademark. It's mostly for looks, but you can technically use it for hanging the machete by a nail, like the eye in a cleaver. Also, for those not used to maintaining good edge alignment through the cut, you can hear the difference in the sound of your swing. A poorly aligned swing "whooshes" while a well aligned swing "whistles".

Thanks guys! my brother ordered a bushlore can't wait for it to come in and give it a test!

The stainless steel has really impressed me, after cutting all the willow and other stuff in the vid it still had a good working edge! plus it's nice to know i don't have to worry about it rusting:)

Their UltraBlac2 finish is really something else, too. I can't get it to wear off of my stainless machetes. Unfortunately I guess that coating only works with stainless steel for some reason, so that's why they powdercoat the carbon models. A shame, since the UltraBlac2 is both attractive and tough as nails.
