I'm back. I've got an Condor throwing axe that's been sitting in a box for a few years. It's identical to Condor's CTK1401-1.4 but with a wooden handle. I've taken up axe throwing and, since I have the axe, I want to use it. The axe's current grind is way too steep and thick. All I know to do is thin it down and reduce the shoulder. Is that all it needs?

If its too thick then making it thin is the obvious choice.

Steel is probably fairly soft and should be easy to reprofile with a file. Finish with an axe puck or stones of your choice.
