For the price they are great. Solid design and materials, I own a few condor knives and I have never been disappointed.

i bought one of their machetes a few months back and was pleasantly suprised with the quality of the machete as well as the leather sheath that came with it.

i have the condor rodan its a brute of a knife good steel nice thick blade!

Yes, they are great for the money.

I own knives costing 10 times as much. I still love my Condor!

The one on the right is my condor Hudson bay. They improved it and the new version is even cooler.

They have a workman-like quality to them, by which I mean they are meant to be used hard as tools, not so much to be fondled and treated as "sharp art." I have a golok and Hudson Bay, both of which perform very well.

I don't have any personal expediences with Condor Knife and Tool products, but I have heard great things about them! If you are interested in Bushcraft, I would highly recommend Morakniv of Sweden. They are about half the price, and are PROBABLY just as good as the Condors.

The Mora's won't be as robust as a Condor as many of their knives are not full tang. However, if you respect the Mora and don't do heavy battoning, they would work great!.

TwinBlades (i think that is his name?) Owns a knife shop. He is a forum member, and I believe he inspects each Condor before he accepts them from the factory. I had a bum experience with Condor, (ordered from amazon). I wish i'd ordered from a place that looked at the product they ship. If i were to order another Condor, i'd order from him!

Glad I could help :).

Also, to the OP, which knife, or line of knives are you considering made by Condor? I think a bit of information on that could really get you some more focused help.

The Answer is that yes, they are "any" good, but I think its more about what it is that you are looking for that will tell you if they are right for you. The only negative comments you will likely find will be about QC issues. The positive comments will likely be about the amount of blade you get for your money.

Yeah you were thinkin' of me. :p

The one weakness with Condor is their quality control, which has been steadily improving over the years. The product itself is fantastic as long as you don't get a lemon, and their customer service is phenomenal. If you ever have a problem with a Condor--and I do mean EVER--get in contact with them and you'll get your socks knocked off by how well they'll take care of you. I've been a fan of them since before I had opened shop, and I purchased a first-generation Rodan when they just came out. The following year they changed the sheath design to one that both was more attractive and had much better retention. I wrote Condor asking if I could buy one of the new-style sheaths and they insisted on sending me one free. :D:thumbup:

You can't go wrong ordering from Benjamin at FortyTwoBlades. He inspects each knife before he lists it for sale and his customer service is amazing. I've ordered several knives from him and have never had a complaint about the knife or his service.

Thanks for the kind words--I just do what I love. :)

Though Condor's customer service is amazing and they'll take care of you if you have any problems it's nice not to have to go through the hassle when you just unboxed the new toy you were excited for. I've caught QC slips from all the big names, too, including KA-BAR and Mora (which is practically unheard of!) so it happens from time to time no matter how good a company's QC is. It doesn't take me long to give a fresh shipment a glance or two, so a few seconds on my end can save a week on yours. I figure I can do that. :p

Thank you, I'm thinking about buying one now too.
