does anyone know what kershaw might charge to resharpen my scavenger? and when i say resharpen what i really mean is "repair" a damaged edge due to some moron trying to sharpen it with a smiths 3 in 1 sharpener and then it never taking an edge again? ( that being me :D ) i admit my stupidity in trying to take on the task of such an intricate blade with such a neanderthal sharpening device but i just want my knife to be worthy again and dont know who to trust to put it back in shape.

I'm sure Thomas will be along shortly to answer you, but my question(s) are about the durability of the ZT 0400.:)

You may have read my post in the other thread about giving both a ZT 0200 and a ZT 0400 to a couple of friends that are being deployed to Iraq.

I haven't heard anything bad about the 0200 and this is the first I'm hearing about the 0400. Has it not really held up that well under use and is it going to be that hard for the guy with the 0400 to sharpen ???

Maybe I need to try to somehow get him a ZT 0200 instead of the ZT 0400.

Any more words of wisdom you can give would be greatly appreciated.:D Thanks

No charge PDC, just get it to us, we will take care of the rest.

CARman, it just sounds like the 0400 was more of a victim, not that it didn't hold up.

Yeah Thomas, I was just going by what PURPLEDC had written in both threads when he was making reference to his speed bump holding up better than the 0400.

I knew you'd tell him just to send it back to Kershaw and you guys would straighten it out.:D

Thanks

yes for the record the zt is an amazing knife and a victim of abuse not the knife being faulty. the knife holds an edge amazingly well actually i just took the edge off with the paticular sharpener i used. it was a sad moment in time. thanks thomas i appreciate the help.
