Well, I mentioned in another topic that I was considering buying a Bass Pro Shops CPM 154 Buck 110, but I kept changing my mind each time I went to their web site.
What I didn't say was that since then, I committed a grievous sin against all Buck-kind.
Instead of saving my pennies for the BPS Buck 110, I purchased a Benchmade Ambush.
But it gets worse. A buddy of mine bought a Benchmade Fecas Snipe with a partially serrated edge at a gunshow in January. Since then, he's been mentioning that he'd rather have the plain edge, but he couldn't find one for a decent price. So he kept talking about it until I went ahead and found a couple of online vendors who had Snipes for a reasonable price. I told him about them. Then he proceeded to drag his feet for weeks and not order it!
Being the obssessed cutlery connoisseur that I am, my brain had already processed that the knife must be bought. I warned him last week that if he did not order it, I would. You guessed it . . . he didn't order.
Then I did it myself. And I have a spiffy new Snipe. Together, the two knives only cost a few bucks more than the Bass Pro Shops B110 costs.
To make it worse, I'm not sure I wouldn't do it all over again. I am ashamed, but not so much that I would act differently when faced with the same kind of pressure!
