Here's a little utility I had initially intended for the 2008
Christmas exchange, but due to circumstances beyond
my control this one is staying home to be my wifes new
kitchen knife.
Its cable damascus(2nd one-still working the bugs out)
osage orange and black liner handles
OAL:7 1/2"
BL:4" and zero ground

shawn i love it....except fo rthe tang....it looks heavy to me....i think if it was tapered it would be an a+.....ryan:thumbup:

Looks great in overall design! may I recommend trying to get the handles tighter to the tang though. you can draw file them flat to match the tang... otherwise GREAT WORK!

Bet you'll be a little CAUTIOUS next time you go in from the shop and say look at this one honey, happens to all of us at one time or another, that is a great job forge welding the wire rope by the way.

Yeah...she isn't even going to see the next ones:D

I made my a chefs knife and let the wife use it for a bit, It is now hers and she is my patina expert. LOL Really like the knife Great work

The black liners set off the orange Osage very nicely. Classic blade shape and nicely proportioned. The suggestion for a tapered tang would give some pleasing lines to this knife but at this OAL it wouldn't have much effect on the balance. 'It has a good beat and I can dance to it, I give it a 9.8.'
